Well, I promised you a variety of accommodations and I certainly don't want to disappoint anyone, so here goes a good one! On our way to San Antonio to visit our family, we decided to venture off The Beaten Path onto the Natchez Trace between Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee. The 444-mile two-lane highway is a National Scenic Byway, All-American Road and Designated Bike route. We drove 17 miles southwest of Nashville on I-40W and took Exit 192 onto McCrary Lane. We went five miles to the entrance of the Park. The only words to describe Beau are “too cute!” Of course Susie calls him the “little dickens.” This may turn into a Lucy/Linus relationship because Susie says that she is the boss, but only time will tell. This is such an institution, a true treasure and one of my best! It opened as a coffee stand during the Gold Rush time.
