Let all of us Boomers stand up and scream ICE CREAM! There are not too many people who do not like outrageous ice cream. As I was growing up, making homemade ice cream with my family was a regular event. My mom would make the vanilla base and then she would have fresh berries or other fun toppings to place on top. My father would be putting the salt around the edge of the ice cream maker and then all of his little grandchildren would come and help him spin it- such precious memories.
At a recent visit to Columbus, my cousin took us two times to this ice cream shop. It gave me two times to order ice cream and also I tried a lot of samples.
Jeni has been making ice cream for nearly two decades. She opened Jenis Splendid Ice Cream in 2002. The positive energy in her shops is contagious and everyone seems extra happy!
She has a team alongside her to make all of this ice cream and her products. When you walk by her shops you are drawn in by the fun names of the ice creams.

Sweet Potato with torched hand toasted marshmallows scented with cinnamon folded into grass grazed milk.
(this above blew me away when I tasted, it was sooooo good)
My true favorite always is vanilla so of course their ndali estate vanilla bean was really really good.
Be sure to pick up some salty caramel or butterscotch sauce and a four pack of her sandwich collection....
