Susie is always looking for great places for pets to stay and one of her friends told her about this great bed and breakfast in West Central Massachusetts. Restful Paws really got her attention because it might be classified as people-friendly because it is geared to pets first. Susie said what with “Great Name!”

Restful Paws is definitely pet-friendly, but also is Pet Oriented. This is truly a place where families can come with their pets to relax. The inn is essentially two homes connected by a hallway. The “guest wing” is handicap accessible for both pets and their families. Ramps have been provided along with other accessibility features to all of the private bath areas so everyone can enjoy the features of the inn.

Every morning a complimentary, healthy breakfast is provided and can be enjoyed in various surroundings such as the gazebo and picnic tables weather permitting.

The property has numerous walking trails on premises and play areas, and also has a unique “dogs only in-ground, indoors swimming pool, called Rosie B’s Swim Center.  The property consists of 31 acres of places to explore with your pet.

In fact Restful Paws has been called “the place where pooches bring their people to relax.” Susie approves!

The inn is close to area events such as Old Sturbridge Village, museums and other attractions in Springfield and Worcester. Major highways such as Rte.84, Rte.90, Rte.395, and Rte.20 provide easy access to local events. Boomers into antiquing will find the well-known Brimfield Antique Show that occurs three times a year. Guests can also explore the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor at their leisure.

They state that “just the serenity and natural beauty of The Last Green Valley is enough to take a moment to enjoy the wholesomeness and wonder of nature in all its glory.”

All of the rooms and common rooms are served by a unique air-purifying system that removes odors and pet dander for a pleasant experience by everyone.

Pet sitting is also provided for the times that you want to go out to dinner or somewhere without your pet. This site has it all.

Susie wants to take her new little brother Beau and her mommy and daddy to Restful Paws in the not too distant future.  She is giving it a four paw rating for now, but believes that this is actually a five paw destination, but she wants to check it out for herself.
