Ella Dining Room and Bar (Sacramento) this was named after Ella, the granddaughter, who I met at Selland's. She was adorable!!
It is a Thursday, around 12:30 and it is as busy as ever, a lot of the visitors are boomers! This fun spot is a weekly visit for me and my family. It is placed right in the middle of a neighborhood surrounded by charm, trees, top restaurants and shops nearby. Randall Selland and Nancy Zimmer operate all of the four top culinary delights above along with their children.
I would say the perfect description of Selland's in a few words is simple, consistent, a place to be seen and delicious! There are long wooden school house tables surrounded by small round tables. They have outside seating, bright yellow tables. Takeout is also an option, which I love to do too.
The kitchen is huge, looks right out to the tables and wine area. There are a lot of very nice employees moving quickly and always working very hard! It is so impressive and a huge compliment to the owners.
They have the best pizzas, cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, dinner specials that always include a great bottle of wine and the most special treats. I have a photo of my favorite: shortbread frosted cookies!

I left at 2:00 and there was still a long line of people. I saw a lot of them order my shortbread cookies....thank goodness I got mine!
