This restaurant is warm and sophisticated. The architecture is interesting and has clean looking lines. It has a bistro feeling and yet is in a beautiful New England town in a restored Victorian home.

The meals have creativity and elegance. Connecticut farms supply their meats and vegetables. This restaurant offers fine catering and some really fun weekly specials. Monday is 50% off entrees. Tuesday 50% off wine. Wednesday is a night for ladies.

After you have such a lovely dining experience, wander into the center of town which is close and you can hop on a beautiful, old steam train ride into the New England country side. My daughter surprised me for Mother’s Day.....a delightfully full and exciting day right in Centerbrook, Ct!

Griddled Black Forest Ham, Gruyere cheese, tomato and honey Dijon aioli served on a crispy sourdough pullman

Be sure to start with a Plum Basil Cocktail! It was so unusual and refreshing.

Blondee’s Powder Room Check: just like the restaurant is, simple and yet sophisticated.
