As baby boomers over the years I have shared my travel experiences through the telescope of an avid art connoisseur. I woke up early and chilled.  It got good and cold overnight, and feeling chilly is what woke me up.  I think I should have used both sleeping bags…but when I fell asleep it was not that cool.  Since I was already awake I decided to get up. It was still dark!

When it comes to selecting new luggage, “Yes, size does matter!” 

Located on Lake Erie between Cleveland and Sandusky is the charming city of Vermillion, known as the Village of Lake Captains. It was incorporated in 1837 and became a popular shipping port. Today, it feels like a place where time stands still.

San Juan Puerto Rico is a wonderful destination for a Caribbean style vacation, with some of the creature comforts many of us enjoy.  San Juan is the Capital of Puerto Rico, which is officially a territory of the United States.  This is great news, as it means that US citizens do not need to have passports to travel, and US dollar bills are the current currency.  Add this to the fact that San Juan is a 2 hour nonstop flight from many east coast cities, and that English is spoken, and you have a terrific location for a vacation.

If you travel west, take the Highway that’s the best… So go the lyrics of one of the most famous songs of bygone days. Well, that Highway, Route 66 really isn’t one of the most beautiful in the world. HIGHWAY 101, between San Francisco in the north, to Los Angeles in the south, is truly one of the world’s most scenic routes.

If you haven’t paid a visit to Savannah, I highly recommend you put it on your list this year. History, architecture and charm abound in this city and to really get the ambiance, I suggest you stay at the Hamilton-Turner Inn.
