I suppose there are a number of ways to appropriately travel with a pet. I have done so myself. However, I do object to staying at a motel where someone's pet slept in my same bed the night before. A separate little area or maybe even separate rooms for pet owners would work. Its one thing to value and care for you pet, but another to impose them on other people.
Thanks for your comment - there are obviously many opinions on this topic and are all valid. Most properties that allow pets have a pet charge for the express purpose of any extra cleanup due to a pet's visit. Some have specific rooms that are designated as "pet friendly." Others require the pet to sleep in their crate in the room. It varies considerably. I actually worry more about the humans who occupied the room before me! The better properties see to proper sanitation whether it is clean up after human guests or animal guests. We try to state the specifics for any property that appears here on Boomer Travel Patrol.
