This is a 50 seat French restaurant in the beautiful historic part of the city. Owners Vitaly and Kim Paley have turned this Victorian home into a true award winner.
You walk up to a huge porch and as you enter, you see all of the special tables inside in the dining room. You will probably be greeted by Kim, if you are lucky.
Chef Vitaly worked at one of my favorites, Union Square Cafe and other prestigious properties around the world. Kim's background is very impressive too so they are the perfect team. This is the type of food you should have catered for a special event.
You will never get bored here on selections, the menu changes nightly.
Blondee Picks:
Yummy creative cocktails with the cheese selection and the famous fruit and nut bar
Butternut squash and pear bisque
Grilled pear and spinach salad
I always love it when you can pick 2 sizes for your entree, which they offer.
Scallops
Wilson ranch aged dry rib eye
Grilled kale ( I am really loving kale and it is so good for us)
King oyster mushrooms and gypsy pepper
Be sure to order some hand cut fries with mustard aioli
Pastry Chef Michelle Vemier's delights cannot be passed by:
You can just split the warm gingerbread with bay leaf ice cream.
(this has pears and honey sesame almond clusters too on top). I would recommend getting your very own, even if you were taught to always share!
I have picked quite a few items with pears. I can never get enough of pears, especially in these dishes!
