Sean Broch is the executive chef. He grew up with a family who planted and created their food right from their home. Sean loves to continue to constantly be challenged when it comes to true, southern cooking. Travis is his right hand guy and together they go right to the southern roots. They do not let anything through the door that is not from the south so that speaks for itself. A lot of their produce is in the restaurant gardens.  They even love to do in house pickling. This restaurant is loved by so many locals as well! It is so nice to have a comfortable place with charm all around and yet it feels chic.

When you hear my picks you will know this is true cooking from the south. I was impressed with the suppliers they use which are top notch, of course.

Blondee Picks:

Sassafras glazed pork ribs, pickled peaches and butter beans

Acorn griddle cakes

Atlantic snapper with roasted fennel and grilled snap peas

Strawberry buttermilk soup

Skillet of cornbread

Fried cabbage with sticky tomatoes

South Carolina shrimp and grits

They have such yummy sounding desserts; I would have to try the heirloom rice pudding!

So how lucky are all of us boomers, we get to choose where we want to go and this is a place you do not want to miss, Charleston and Husk wrapped up altogether!.....excited to hear from you! Blondee
