What Do Baby Boomers Want When They Choose A Hotel?

Here are 15 items that we would like hotels to have as we make our selection for places to stay.

1. Free Newspapers – we still like to read them even though we know we can go online. There’s something missing when you can’t flip pages.
2. Free WiFi – to keep up with friends, kids and grandkids while on the road.
3. Comfortable Beds and Pillows –if not, what’s the point? We’ve earned it.
4. Spa Services – we deserve to be pampered.
5. Good Lighting and Magnifying Mirrors – we still want to look beautiful and be able to see!
6. In-Room Coffee and Tea Makers – we don’t want anyone to see us before we’ve had our first dose of caffeine.
7. Opportunities for Adventure Nearby – we want to keep adding to our Bucket Lists.
8. Good Customer Service – we grew up expecting it and giving it.
9. Great Restaurants – our palates have become accustomed to good cuisine.
10. Pet-Friendly Accommodations – many of us want to bring our furry friends and include them in our travels.
11. Offer Classes – cooking, wine tasting, arts and crafts are a real draw.
12. Eco-Friendly – we are conscious of the environment and want future generations to enjoy the beauties of nature.
13. Fitness Centers – we want to stay in shape so we can travel more.
14. Entertainment – shopping, casinos, theaters and museums are a plus to have in the neighborhood.
15. Larger Spaces – so we can bring our grandkids and create memories.
