The Kogart restaurant is on the ground floor of one of Budapest’s most beautiful old villas. I so want to experience this beautiful culture and city someday. I love the people from here. I have a very soft spot for Budapest, we will just say it must be magical....people fall madly madly in love here, that I know for sure.
The meals are traditional and elegant with an international flair. Chef Istvan Kiripolski loves to create classic dishes and uses the very freshest ingredients. The setting here is stylish and chic. It is such a relaxing restaurant and they have beautiful soft jazz music playing in the background while you dine which adds so much to the ambiance. Due to the beautiful art surrounding you everywhere, you will see many artistic diners and as many boomer diners ( alot of art purchases are done by boomers!) Boomers appreciate art, fine food and also opera!
At the café you can enjoy a sophisticated picnic. They have fabulous wines, sweets, sandwiches and more!
Blondee’s pick: pepperoni stuffed with feta cheese or marinated prawns and a glass of their fine wine selection.
If you are dining a little later arrive 10-6pm Monday through Sunday and you can stroll through the Kogart museum where you will see contemporary art collections. Their mission is to promote young artists too. There is some amazing and rare Hungarian works of art.
Make sure you visit the famous opera house which is not far away too……
