D’Angelo and Mill Valley, California

$0.00

Quick Overview

I truly love this town. It is close to San Francisco, 11 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and reminds me of a lot of the magical New England towns. It is very picturesque and is surrounded by canyons and hillsides of Mount Tamalpais. The weather here is nice most of the year and is just a few minutes from Tiburon and the ferry. The Mill Valley Inn is a great place to stay....415.389.6608.  The first place I always need to visit is Mill Valley Market. There is parking right next to it and that is where I begin my day. They have everything true chefs and foodies would LOVE in this market. I usually can spend a good hour in here and always come back to walk out to the car with purchases.

The second place I must go is Tyler Florence Mill Valley store. Yes he is darling, yes he is a famous chef who is successful and the best of all, I know first-hand that he is very nice!  I really love his store; there is always an unusual item or two I find there. Last time they had some white plastic plates under $30.00 that were so close to my $80.00 French plates! Fun, fun fun!

As I have told you on my Blondee tips, I asked three different people in Mill Valley where to eat and boy did they all tell me the best place!

You step into this huge restaurant with white beams, white sheer curtains, white tablecloths, rust and terra cotta accents, fireplaces and an open kitchen.

I loved the art piece of bright colored horses standing still off to the right corner.  The service was excellent and Jose was our head waiter.

We had the most delicious bread and pesto ever!

 Blondee Picks:

Grappa bianca was perfect

Cesare we split and it was perfect too

Their pastas all looked so delicious and are homemade and

I would pick Tortelloni Della Casa

We ordered the wood fired Neapolitan pizza, Prosciutto and Fichi

(It was so decadent and I must return very soon to have more!)

Dessert: warm chocolate bread pudding with cardamom crème anglaise

Blondee Powder Room test:

Simple

I love thinking about my next trip to Mill Valley and I will copy exactly what I did above. The perfect day.......Blondee
