Originally from Argentina, the Cea family came to Miami in 1985. They opened this fabulous restaurant in 1993. You feel the moment you walk through the doors, you are in Italy. The father, Arturo and the mother, Carla are always cooking. The three sons Fabian, Gerardo and Marcela are taking care of the rest of the business.
There are four rooms, part of the expansions done. This shows a true success story. White tablecloths are everywhere and black and white photos accenting each room are all throughout. The restaurant has received many awards including Zagat.
I felt so excited when they took me back to the kitchen to make a few raviolis, (lots of Boomers work in the kitchen) I had on a silk dress and did not spill a thing on it!
The kitchen was so clean you could eat off the floor. The aromas here are so wonderful.
Blondee’s Picks:
Fresh baked bread and garlic, parsley, oil and red pepper, delight! It did not leave my side, I wanted to dip everything in this.
Fried Zucchini
Malanzana Parmigiana: slices of eggplant baked a la Parmigiana
Rucula “Gise” Salad
Veal Picatta with white wine, lemon and capers ( melted in my mouth)
Dessert: cheesecake #1
Blondee Powder Room Check:
It was small but great!
This is Food Heaven if just for a couple of hours!
