Adventure Suites: North Conway, New Hampshire

So you think you've been there, done that? Well, let me test it right now – have you been to the Adventure Suites in New Hampshire? I didn't think so!

You're in for a treat or will just love knowing that you can share this information with someone who would get a kick out of it.

Admit it, at some point in your boomer past, you slept in a water bed – I did! Well, you can do it again if you book the Love Shack. This suite is funky and 70's and dare I say, a bit on the kinky side. Complete with disco lights, fuzzy dice, a heart-shaped jacuzzi and a queen canopy water bed with a mirrored ceiling. I'm not judging. I'm just sharing information.

The Love Shack not for you? There are a total of 16 different suites all with jacuzzis to suit the adventure of your choice. There is the more sedate Log Cabin with a fireplace and private deck with a view of the mountains. The Wine Cellar comes with a king bed, wine bar and a lot of wine themed accessories or you can book the Owner's Quarters, a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen, living room and sweeping views of the mountains. There are many more adventures from which to choose.

For your free breakfast, you will go to the 50's Diner, where coffee and tea is served all day. Know what else is free – popcorn and cookies every evening! Your suite is equipped with a DVD player and a VCR. They have over 1,000 movies at your disposal. If you like to play pool, there is an original slate billiard table over 100 years old in the lobby.

So what else is there to do in Conway? How about tax-free shopping at the Outlet Malls or taking a Moose tour? If you love adventure, there is skiing, zip-lining, rock climbing, horseback riding and snowshoe walks. It is located in the center of the White Mountain National Forest, so the views are amazing.

This hotel happens to be pet friendly and if you bring your dog, you can order a doggie pizza made in the local doggie bakery. Come on – you gotta' love it! There is also a resident cat at the hotel.
