Bowser Beer: Beer for Dogs – Pack it up for your Dog when you Travel

One of Susie’s many male admirers brought an interesting and unique product to our attention that she would like to share with her many friends – Bowser Beer. What a great idea! Of course this beer is non-alcoholic and does not contain any hops which are toxic to dogs. In other words, do not give your dog human beer; instead buy him/her a supply of Bowser Beer. 

 The main product offered of course is Bowser Beer which comes in two flavors: Beefy Brown Ale (Beef) and Cock-a-Doodle Brew (Chicken). As previously mentioned there is no alcohol or hops in the brew, nor is there any added salt. The 3 Busy Dogs people make their own beef and chicken broth and use vitamin B rich barley and glucosamine for bone health. You can buy six packs, mixed six packs, single bottles and other gift combinations. All the ingredients are American made.

They also offer custom made labels so you can have your own pet(s) on the beer. There are a wide range of specialty labels available too.

In addition to the beer, you can also buy Bowser Bits, Liver Treats, and Cigar Sausages in Beef and Turkey flavors. The Bowser Bits are unsalted pretzel bits baked with a light coating of peanut butter and naturally sweet molasses.

The company that produces Bowser Beer and Bowser Bits, 3 Busy Dogs, was started by Jenny Brown in late 2007. The company is based in Seattle, WA. From the beginning she was committed to only using 100% US made, all natural ingredients – extremely important to those of us who love our dogs and want them to have a long, healthy life.

The concept speaks to the strong emotional bond that people have with their pets. Bowser Beer has found its way to pet shops, beer stores and wine shops. It even found its way to London at Harrods when they still had a pet department.

Susie was pleased to learn that the three original busy dogs were Chewy a Golden Retriever, Casey a Westie, and Dax a Rottie. They all can be seen on the company logo. Maggie, an English Mastiff, lived to be 14 ½ and was a Busy Dog emeritus, appearing on the 6-pack. Of these four dogs, three were rescues and the company still supports rescue and service dog organizations.
