Roll the dice, pull the lever and envision Elvis, Sinatra and Jimmy the Greek - you got it - we're in Vegas, baby! The celebrities may have changed, but the action and excitement is still there plus more.
It's hard to single out one hotel because they all have so much to offer, but I did a recent stay at the Wynn and loved it! I stayed in the Tower and my room was massive with floor to ceiling windows, curtains that were controlled by a remote, beautiful marble bathroom and a simply yummy bed. There was a couch, a desk, a big screen TV and lots of closet space. It was inviting to return to the room after a night of gambling, shows, great meals and shopping. A friend of mine stayed at the sister property,Encore and I took a peek at their room. It was more modern and masculine in appearance, and it was hard to decide which was better. I actually preferred my room, but I think I was already attached to the comfy bed.
The location of this property is amazing. It is about 5 miles from the airport and is connected through outside walkways to the Venetian Hotel. Directly across the street is the Fashion Show Mall – their anchor stores are Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman-Marcus, Macy's and Dillard's, not to mention a host of other shops. The Wynn also has boutiques in the lobby, so be sure and bring your credit cards.
There is a spa, fitness center, 18 hole golf course and 4 swimming pools. Oh and yes, there is a large casino, so feel free to take your chances – you just never know!
Are you in the market for a new car, or just want to dream about one? Well, simply stay at the hotel and visit the Ferrari Dealership and Museum – just one more perk of staying at the Wynn. Who knows – you may just hit the jackpot!
I have to say I really loved all the restaurants and there are plenty on the property. As a boomer, I was taken with Sinatra, a dining room with a tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes. They even have a Vegan restaurant and lots of 4 star and casual dining experiences. Good food abounds everywhere in Vegas, so be sure and venture out for the diversity of flavors.
It is a feast for the eyes as soon as you enter the lobby – it is filled with flowers and lights. There is an opulent nightclub and several show venues. Come to think of it, once you arrive at the Wynn, you can simply stay on the property and do everything you would want to do in Vegas. However, you should really venture out and soak in what the City has to offer – or not! The Wynn has it all!
