The main reason to come to this area is for the city of Frankenmuth, known as Michigan's Little Bavaria. It is located 25 miles north of Flint, Michigan, 90 miles from Detroit and 300 miles from Chicago. Here you will find The Old Christmas Station with its antique store, museum, cafe and bakery. There is the Frankenmuth Clock Company which has the largest selection of German Black Forest Cuckoo clocks and parts east of the Mississippi. The covered wooden bridge and most notable of all is Bronner's the largest Christmas store in the world (www.bronners.com), which is open 361 days a year.

Frankenmuth's Octoberfest is the first Octoberfest outside of Munich to be sanctioned by the Parliament and the city of Munich.

The Bavarian Inn in situated in the heart of Frankenmuth and is about a 15 minute walk to Bronner's and within walking distance to the Military and Space Museum as well as the Historical Museum.
