Are you tired of cool, cold, and totally freezing days of winter?  If you are anything like me you could use a little bit of Florida Sunshine.  Mid Spring (after Easter week) is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World due to lower crowds, nice temperatures, and one of my favorite events…

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2015

Every year Epcot has a wonderful event, which is included in your admission price.  The whole park is decked out in interesting, colorful plants, many sculpted into Disney Characters.  There are gardening and decorating demonstrations, special food booths, and classic rock and roll concerts connected with the event.  Ever want to see the HGTV personalities in person?  They are giving seminars here as well.  The atmosphere is exciting, and rejuvenating.

Keys to having more fun, and enjoying the show include

1.              Stay onsite, near the back entrance to Epcot.

2.             Arriving by 11:00 in the morning, when the World Showcase opens up

3,             Choosing to go during the week, when there are fewer people, but still lots to enjoy.

4.            Renting a scooter or Powerchair if needed outside the park (can be delivered to hotel room)

5.             Visit guest relations if you have any Special Needs, or Medical Issues.  They sometimes help you shorten wait times.

6.             If you are hot, or tired take a break in “The Land”.  This pavilion has a major ride, SOARING, and a lovely boat ride through gardens.

7.             Bring your own water bottle and ask to fill it up to stay hydrated.

8.            Plan to take a meal break , but maybe during an off time, like 2:00

9.            Be sure to be powered up… both any scooter/chair, and phone.  Take Power Cords with you.

10.          Plan, yet be spontaneous.  Have Fun!
