The founder was Fred Furth, who saw this spectacular property in 1972 from his plane, as he flew over the Russian River. Fred and Peggy have made the rest of the story an exciting one as has Bill Foley. He has created a very large wine empire which is all part of the foley family wines. I was very lucky to have the privilege, along with my family to have private tastings along with Bills fabulous ambassador, Onna at Merus and Kuleto wineries, part of his magical group.
The Chalk Hill land has produced produce, meats, poultry and wine. My family have personally enjoyed many private meals here. The executive chef is Didier Ageorges.

Robert and Jo Ann turned this breathtaking winery into a true winner! Philippe and his wife Julia along with Robert and JoAnne's oldest daughters are running the winery now. There have been quite a few expansions through the years and it just gets better and better As I read deeper and more into the history of Robert, the founder, I know this is a must visit for me and all of you! A must buy is the Coquard Brandy!
